A Little About Me..

I was first introduced to pageantry as a little girl because , believe it or not, I was a timid and shy little girl. I competed in my first pageant when I was 12 and won! From then on pageantry was in my blood. I competed in many pageants and did a lot with MAO. My last title I won was in 1997-Miss Malta USA!!!

I then went on to persue my Master's Degree and a career working with special needs children. Before meeting my husband I was in a severe automobile accident, leaving me with a broken neck, broken ribs and a punctured lung. I was in the hospital for two weeks and left wearing a neck brace for nine months. The doctors said that it is a miracle that I am walking due to the part of the neck I had fractured. Did I mention my now husband was in the car with me? After a year of rehabilitation I got engaged to this wonderful man who helped nurse me through this horrific experience.

After having post partum depression with both of my children, my husband encouraged me to get back into doing things for MYSELF and what made me happy. All I could think of was pageantry! Sooo.. this is how my journey began......

A Dream Come True!

It is such an honor to now call myself Mrs. Michigan United States 2010!

I am so blessed to be a part of this amazing group of women who held the title before me. In additon, I am honored to represent the 2010 candidates who are undoubtedly some of the most incredible women I've ever met! I am also proud to represent married women and mothers in this great state of Michigan.

This journey to becoming Mrs. Michigan was made possible because of the love and support received from my, "Mr. Michigan" who in fact got me back into pageantry, my two beautiful children, my parents, in-laws, family, friends and community. I would like to give a heartfelt THANKS to all of you! I love you more than you could imagine!
